CLE Accredited Live Webinar (for newly admitted and experienced attorneys only): Commercial Leasing: Practice Tips for Representing a Nonprofit
When a nonprofit organization leases commercial space for use as an office or to run a program, there are special considerations to take into account. During this webinar you will learn practice tips for representing a nonprofit in a commercial lease negotiation. Topics covered will include negotiating a right to terminate, the importance of the “use” clause and the assignment and subletting provisions, and issues presented by expenses that are passed through to the tenant.
NYS CLE credit: This program has been approved in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board for a maximum of one (1.0) credit hour which can be applied towards the professional practice requirement. This program is aimed at current and prospective Lawyers Alliance volunteers, and free for interested attorneys.
