If you are a nonprofit with an urgent legal matter, please email Laura Abel, Legal Director, at label@lawyersalliance.org. If you are a pro bono volunteer with an urgent matter, please email Laren Spirer, Program and Strategy Director, at lspirer@lawyersalliance.org. For all other urgent matters, please email Angela Fernandez, Executive Director, at afernandez@lawyersalliance.org. If this is not an urgent matter, we will respond as soon as possible upon our return on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Lawyers Alliance provides general information on business and transactional legal issues to nonprofits, lawyers, policymakers, technical assistance providers, and members of the general public. We do not provide legal information on individual or for-profit business questions. While we offer specific legal advice only to clients, we supply helpful general information and referrals to others through our Resource Call Hotline service. 

To access the service, email ResourceCall@lawyersalliance.org with a brief description of your nonprofit legal question and contact information. If you do not have access to email, call (212) 219-1800 ext. 224 and leave a message that includes your question and contact information. Please note that contacting us via email will result in a faster response time.
