Nonprofit Resiliency Network Webinar: Rights, Risks & Readiness: Nonprofit Guidance for Protests and Enforcement Interactions

Nonprofits often serve as the first line of support for communities facing interactions with law enforcement or immigration authorities. We welcome organizational leaders, staff, and volunteers to join us for this virtual program on how to respond confidently and responsibly during these critical moments.
Through real‑world scenarios and actionable guidance, this session helps nonprofits strengthen their readiness, protect the people they serve, and uphold their mission even in challenging circumstances. Participants will learn:
- legal rights that apply during enforcement encounters.
- best practices for preparing staff and clients for enforcement interactions.
- strategies for developing internal protocols that prioritize safety, dignity, and community trust.
Date/Time: June 10, 2026 from 1pm - 2:30pm ET
Cost: Free. Click here to register.
This session is presented in partnership by Lawyers Alliance for New York, New York Lawyers for the Public Interest (NYLPI), Human Services Council, and Mobilization for Justice as a part of the Nonprofit Resiliency Series. For more resources, please visit the Nonprofit Resiliency Network.
