Webinars for Wise Nonprofits: Charter Schools: Creating and Working with a "Friends Of" Organization

Supporting organizations, often called "Friends Of" organizations are separate, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporations that are created to raise funds, awareness, and otherwise support a public charity. This webinar will explain the function of "Friends Of" organizations, how they operate in relation to charter schools (we know many charters use "Friends Of" to assist with supporting facilities), and other common questions that charter school planners and organizers may have about forming such an organization.

Learning Objectives: Participants will learn how to form a "Friends Of" organization, identify common issues "Friends Of" organizations have while supporting character schools, and how to support "Friends Of" organizations through tax deductible gifts.
