As Program Assistant, Arya Shekarandaz supports the legal program and pro bono placement staff.  Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance in 2026, Arya was the Pro Bono Program Administrator at the New York County Lawyers Association (NYCLA), where he was responsible for administering legal services and programs that provided free assistance to underserved communities. He coordinated client referrals, supported volunteer attorneys, tracked program data, and worked with legal service providers and community organizations to expand access to justice. Arya has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, as well as a Master’s in Public Administration with a focus in International Development from Cornell University.
