Tara S. Knapp is Legal Counsel responsible for Lawyers Alliance's Economic Opportunity program area, assisting community development organizations and nonprofits that provide investment capital and credit services, pursue earned revenue activities, stimulate and revitalize commercial activity, and sponsor job training and job placement programs in New York City. Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance in 2025, Tara represented a wide variety of clients on corporate and transactional matters as an associate at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Duke University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, in Political Science with a minor in Religion from Emory University.
