CLE Accredited Live Webinar (for experienced attorneys only): Introduction to Supporting Organizations

Supporting organizations are a special type of nonprofit that qualifies for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status because its purpose is to raise funds for or otherwise support a public charity. This webinar will explain the basics of the different types of supporting organizations, including regulations around supporting organizations, and will discuss how they operate and common uses that attorneys representing tax-exempt organizations should know.

Learning Objectives: During this webinar, participants will learn about the different types of supporting organizations, how to form a supporting organization, identify when supporting organizations may be useful for your clients, and when they might not be appropriate.

NYS CLE credit: This program has been approved in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board for a maximum of one (1.0) credit hour which can be applied toward the professional practice requirement.
