Webinars for Wise Nonprofits: Operating an Afterschool Program: Intellectual Property

This webinar will introduce general concepts of intellectual property law, including copyrights, ownership of works/content/inventions and confidentiality, as well as some basic information about trademark law. The webinar will also explore questions about ownership of works created by students or participants and provide tips for protecting the intellectual property of a nonprofit. The webinar will include some considerations for nonprofits in the era of COVID-19.

Learning Objectives:  Participants will learn the basics of intellectual property law (with a focus on copyright, ownership of works/content/inventions and confidentiality), and will gain an understanding of what steps they may need to take to protect the intellectual property of their organization.
